The Pink Ribbon Program was founded by Doreen Puglisi an Exercise Physiologist and dedicated Pilates Instructor. Dorren saw while working with breast cancer survivors there was a need to design a specific post operative program to restore arm function, improve posture and build up strength and self confidenc

This became even more apparent to Doreen, herself, when she was diagnosis with breast cancer and underwent a total mastectomy. Doreen used her own Pink Ribbon Program to regain range of movement on her affected arm. This experience help Doreen understand and reshape the Pink Ribbon Program into its current state and motivated her to teach the program to other so that together they could reach all breast cancer survivors. 


Exercise may be the last thing you feel like doing after breast cancer surgery. You're probably exhausted, your arm maybe painful and swollen and the adjuvant therapies are make you feel even worse. In the past doctors would have recommended that you just rest. However, recent studies indicate a link between moderate physical exercise and improved quality of life for breast cancer survivors.

Our Specifically trained Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialists (BCES) will guide you through the Pink Ribbon Program. All our BCES are also fully qualified Physiotherapists, so as well as having a complete knowledge of the cancer process from diagnosis to treatment and the prevention and Maintenance of lymphedema, they have expert knowledge on how this type of surgery can affect your nerves, muscles and functional movement. The Program will help stretch and strengthen the shoulder, chest, back, abdominal muscles, allowing ladies to regain functional range of motion in all areas affected by breast cancer surgery. 

The program is suitable whether your surgery was recent or several years ago and accommodates all fitness levels. It can be undertaken following primary surgery or following reconstructive surgery. Ladies who have already completed this program have found:
